The other people could be right about it being a dominance thing with him. If he bites in anger, have you treated him badly in some way? Who is older, you or your brother? Is he biting in play?In any case, biting should never be encourged or tolerated. When he does it, stomp your foot and tell him NO firmly. Never hit him, you could cower him down and he wouldn't be happy and open to learning anything. Lab's are most usually smart, bouncy, and lives just to please people. Treat him with lot's of love and gentleness and you'll have a wonderful member of the faimily. Be good to your dog and good luck.

lab as in labrador retriever? These guys are funny dogs. Hyper, always ready to go. I'm raising a yellow lab for Guide Dogs for the Blind in California so I know all about these spunky guys. If you are the younger brother, the dog could bite you to show dominance. Dogs are pack animals and you have to remember that by being this dog's human, you are part of his pack. Biting you could be playful, or it could mean I am better then you..In dog speak. If you are the older of the two brothers then this could also be true. Unless its making you bleed or your dog gets very aggressive with biting, I woudlnt' worry too much. Thats just labs for ya.
