I think you're right. The thought of endless life with no possibility to end it is at least as scary as the thought of annihilation at death - perhaps more so. At least annihilation is comprehensible and reasonably well defined.

Who really wouldn't want to live forever if it is in a perfect, idyllic existence without suffering pain evil or death?? People spend a fortune here on earth to try and stay young and prolong their life but this earth isn't the real deal. This life is just a test. This is the place where you make your decisions that will effect you for all of eternity.
I get excited about Heaven, the Bible says there will be a new heaven and a new earth. Imagine all the places you would love to see now but don't have the finances, time to see them all. It's going to be mind blowing and awesome - and experience we can't even imagine. To meet all the people through the ages who have died and gone to be with God.
I guess the most important thing is to trust Jesus now and know where you will spend Eternity! Jesus said 'I am the Way, the Truth and the Life no man comes to the Father except through Me'
Choose today whom you will serve....

When we go to heaven we will have glorified bodies and glorified minds! We will not think like human beings but we will think like new creatures in Christ! In heaven there will not be anymore fear or uncertainty!
Stop worrying about this and think about how lovely and pure heaven will be. Heaven has streets of gold and crystal seas and probably the most majestic views imaginable!
But most importantly Heaven is where we get to be with Jesus forever! If that is not enough I do not know what is!!!

I think we are limited right now in our thinking. In imagining heaven, we can only take our thoughts as far as our "now" human thinking can take us. And we ask, what on earth would I be doing for all of time. But, heaven is outside this experience we are in right now. Even the bible says, eye has not seen, ear has not heard, the heart cannot conceive, of all that God has prepared for those who love Him.

I don't think, in our human limitations, we have the ability to imagine the glory that is to come.

There will be so many things to do and places to visit. You won't be limited by this flesh body or a lack of money. I am spending a certain portion of every day preparing for heaven. I guess that kind of takes away the fear of death because you have something to look forward to after this life. ..)(

Um...I don't think you'll notice time passing; heaven is extra-temporal. A minute is the same as a light-year.
Actually, that is pretty metaphysically freaky.
