You"re picking a recipe and making a presentation on it? Say A little about the country it comes from, the climate and why it was condusive to growing the items in the recipe, for instance, the warm climate of Italy grows tomatoes, and grapes. Talk about if the recipe is rustic, born of people making a dish out of inexpensive, locally grown items, or leftover ingredients of other recipes,or something born out of a chef's kitchen
Talk about why the ingredients were chosen, red tomatoes contrasting in color with green chilies, talk about how the dish feels on your tongue [mouth feel], talk about the layers of flavors, like first you taste the tomato, then the peppers.
Do a brief biography on the chef, or a brief bio on Grandma and her heritage, if that's where the recipe came from.
Talk about why the dish works.For example, using Eggs to make it rise, heating the sugar just right so it carmelizes, eggs used as a binding agent.

You will find many recipes and their origins on www.uktvfood.co.uk. use the index bars to find recipes from different countries and cultures and then print out some for your presentation. they have photos of the chefs and the dishes that they have created. this site also has an extensive library of recipes, utensils and explanations of cooking terms. there are also links to other cooking sites. I am sure you will find it very helpful.
