Hi There Try giving the dog a warm bath in baking soda--as 1)it won't huart the dog --but it will take the smell away- take a clean sponge and wash the dog really good --then let it set on the dog for about a mimute --then thoughly rince--the problem should be sloved ok good luck.

Well of course everyone is telling you give him a bath...nothing like stating the obvious! However some dogs just can't get rid of that doggy smell. My neighbors had a Golden with that problem & they bathed him every day. Of course it didn't help his doggy odor, it just dried out the poor thing's skin. It's something to do with the oil he needs in his skin...it just smells bad. I recently rcv'd a really comprehensive pet catalog & whoa the products in there! There must be something that will address that particular problem....I bet you get some good ideas from others who send you answers.

Basset Hounds are really cute but they stink. Friends of ours had one that would lay under the table and break wind while he was sleeping. Man, he could literally clear a room!

give the dog a bath!:) Then spray the dog with some doggy cologne.

I would try giving him a bath, and they also make doggy cologne. You can check your local pet stores.
