The obvious would be reading classical literiture, books, the newspaper (which is strict when it comes to grammar).

Or you could try exercises from an SAT PREP BOOK. They are amazing when it comes to improving grammar skills because a large portion of the SAT test focuses on just that. I've learned so much from both prepping for the test and taking the test, even more than I would've learned in an English class (which now focuses more on the composition of books rather than correct grammar.)

You could also try practicing writing essays and submitting them to http://www.rocketreview.com They'll review your essay for free and give you feedback.

If you need to build up your vocabulary, try http://www.dictionary.com and subscribe to their Word of the Day.

Another great resource would be http://www.cliffnotes.com which not only helps with grammar but with analyzing literature also.

Practice it everyday in as many ways as you can think of: reading, speaking, writing, studying, etc. and you will improve quickly.

Hope this helps and good luck!!

I've read that lots of people learning English, read newspapers and even comic books in the past, to better their knowlege of the language.
I read in Dear Abby, that some people abroad, were taught using English newspapers and that they read Dear Abby in class. They not only learned words and language but also lots about our people. ( I'm sure they thought we had lots of weirdos!)

And believe it or not, lots watched American TV shows and learned words (not all good, I'm sure) and the slang words of evreyday living. Not the best or proper way, but whatever works!

The best way would probably be to get a good English dictionary and read the words, definition and pronunciation.

I agree with the newspaper guy above me. Journalists and editors are trained writers so you will generally find accurate grammar, sentence structure and punctuation usage in newspapers. Watch out for bias though, it'll get you every time.
