I'm having this read at my Wedding:-) I love it that much!
The Art of Marriage
A good marriage must be created.
In the marriage the little things are the big things.
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say 'I love you' at least once a day.
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.
It is standing together and facing the world.....
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.
It is only marrying the right person.
It is being the right partner.

Wedding poems and readings
One of the most significant ways of enhancing and personalising your wedding is to include a poem or reading by one of your family or guests. This is a unique way of making your ceremony truly memorable and inclusive.
Why not ask your mother (often the forgotten hero of the perfect wedding day) or your son, daughter, brother or sister or your lifelong friend to say some favourite words on your special day. Asking them to do a reading is one way of including them in the service by giving them a prominent role.
Set out below is a selection of the poems and readings that couples have used at Wandsworth weddings over the years. Some of them may be suitable for your wedding day. Alternatively you may have a particular favourite that you would like to use or you may wish to write your own special words that are important and meaningful to you.
In publishing this collection of poems we are simply giving you an indication of the poems couples have previously used to enhance their weddings at Wandsworth Register Office. There are many other appropriate poems and readings available. Talk to your friends and family for further suggestions.
We are not sure of all of the authors - if you know who wrote a particular poem let us know so that we can attribute it accurately.
Humorous (13 poems and readings - 47 kb)
Romantic (18 poems and readings - 48 kb)
Traditional (13 poems and readings - 32 kb)
Wedding day (7 poems and readings - 23 kb)

Let see what I can do:- sister to brother
Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Black is black.
What a heck is last.
I never know for sure.
But my love to you is a lasting love.
It is a very lousy one, just forget my answer.

I like that Corinthians verse about Love is patient, Love is kind. Some people don't like it though.
