where I can find information on a solar system so that I will not have to use electricity in my home.

OK, I think you mean solar energy, and not the solar system. Mars and Jupiter are not going to help you saving energy in your house. Solar panels can be used to reduce you energy bill, but I doubt that it can totally replace your energy needs. It is too unpredictable and collects energy only from the sun during the day. Besides, it is quite expensive. You can still buy and use it, but I'd recommend to use another renewable resource together with it such as wind power.
You can also refurbish your home as to reduce the amount of energy used by using more energy efficient devices. The following website allows you to buy renewable energy power materials for a private home or small business.
