Wear something light, bright and flattering. Some funky stappy sandals (that you can trounce in the sand). Bring a clip for your hair (if its long) because it might blow all over. And sun screen, and sun glasses. haha Oh and a light shawl. for when the sun goes down. Sun dresses are lovely. Perhaps a pretty tank top with a funky wrap?

It depends on how formal or informal the wedding is. Just cause it's on the beach doesn't mean it is informal. Been to more than my share of beach weddings. They are quite nice!

Being a (SCUBA) diving instructor for many years, I've spent a lot of time on beaches and I've seen my fair share of weddings on beaches. There can't be any set dress code for a beach wedding. The only way to find out is to ask.

I've seen the bride and groom stark naked along with everyone in the wedding party (European Beach)

I've seen everyone in Tuxes with flowered cummerbunds and long gowns for the ladies.
Sometimes the guest are dresses similarly, sometimes all the guest are in bathing suits and flip-flops.

I've also seen everyone in swimwear, including the bride and groom.

You definitely have to ask.

Good luck and have fun.

Those are so much fun! Wear something flowy... but maybe with a light sweater since the weather is cooling down (unless you'll be where it is warm... if so, lucky you!). Add a pretty silk flower hair clip or beach-inspired jewelry. I highly recommend Breezy Beach Wear for any accessories. They are gorgeous!

I don't recommend a beach wedding. A chapel, synagogue or church would be more appropriate. Traditionally the bride wears white to signify purity, in other words, maintaining virginity until the wedding has taken place, or at least not giving birth to a child out of wedlock.
You could wear pink if you are "technically" a virgin.

Bikini with the little dress looky thing. OR a Light, Thin type dress is good too. It would depend on how you want the occasion to be like. Formal/Casual??? I did know a couple and they were naked and barefoot!!! I wore Shorts, T-shirt and was barefoot.

When my husband I got married on the beach it was wonderful... I wore a blue (yes blue) sleeveless, knee length, tailored dress. I wore sandals.
He wore a matching blue dress shirt. The pics turned out beautiful with the blue.
Congrats on your wedding. I hope its as beautiful as ours was!
What beach are you getting married on?

You should be asking the bride or the maid of honour. Each wedding varies.

Ask your friend what they are wearing, after all it is her wedding.
