depends on the size of bird and the type of plane. A small bird on a boeing 740, not lightly to cause any problems at all. However, if its like the size of those big eagles, yes it might get jam. Dont think the plane would crash. It would prolly just jerk a little(big planes have more than 1 engine and others can still function if 1 of them jam) and the pilot will try for immediate landing so as not to worsen situation.
Anyways, plane crash causes by birds caught in propellers are very rare simply because birds are smart enough these days and its not easy for them to get into the propeller at of the speed that it is turning. Even if a bird gets jam, it prolly only happen at the airport when the plane is trying to take off and since the plane is still at the airport, the chances of it exploding or crashing is tiny.
Happy flying.

Well, to be honest yes. Usually if a bird gets caught in the propeller it explodes which then causes the plane to crash. But the chances of that happening are rare, usually it happens just as the plane is starting up the runway, delays the flight a bit but obviously the plane still being on the ground it doesnt crash.

if a bird was to fly into the intake of a jet engine it could sheer some of the blades, this may require an inflight engine shut down and the aircraft would land. Anything is possible when you fly however it not likely that it would cause the plane to crash
