myth - guy does something romantic, girl falls in love with guy.
fact - only in movies.. well to be fair, romantic acts don't usually work this way and could even be a turn off. most modern gals with a reasonable "social" rating..will just laugh it off or worse, get irritated by it... in fact, romantic gestures should be carried out for a loved one not for a stranger, which sadly, most guys fail to do once they are in the relationship. so, before you are even into a relationship, it is not romantic things that catches the gal's attention, but rather, the real Man that you are projecting to her. Be it, your gentlemanly behaviour, your scholarly conversation, your masculinity, your geeky cute mannerisms, your projected sense of confidence / security / pride / finiancial stability.. and so on and so forth.. so, its either she likes the impression she has of you or she doesn't, and it is up to you to change/improve yourself on those "properties" that she likes. of course, the opportunity for you to impress upon her must exist.. which will be another topic altogether.

Don't listen to that last guy either!! Half the people that answered don't even know what a sonnet is! You name the sonnet by deciding what the theme is! Love, friendship, infatuation...whatever it may be. You could pick a Shakespearean theme or something! I mean like the paper you put it on or something! Like parchment paper...You could also use calligraphy as neat twist! If you are writing a sonnet for her; you must think she is the kind of girl to understand it.Hope I helped! Good luck!!

The idea of giving her a sonnet u made by yourself is already sweet and honest..
Maybe.. u could also give her a box of chocolate or a roses or a cute bear to sweeten her day.. Girls always love surpises.
U should write the sonnet is dedicate only just for her.. your mind can't stop thinking about her, she amazes you in every way..
Good luck!!

Yea write at the top: "I was thinking about you when this came into my head. I really hope you like it because it's all about you. Let me know what you think." Don't call it a sonnet either, let her figure that out on her own, of you call it a sonnet, or a poem, or anything like that, she might think it's alittle weird. As for the title, I'd put something like, thinking of you.

Don't listen to these boneheads. Most of the people that answered your question sounds like old married people that have no love left. Go for it. I would dedicate it to her below the sonnet. Best of luck. Don't let the romance go!!!!

Hard to say. I guess we'd have to hear the sonnet. Points for the time spent writing the sonnet though.

thats cute-
well the title should be relavant to the sonnet first off
or u could put her name
put it above the sonnet
but instead of dedicated to u, put to my life, or love or something like that
it just sounds better

i would tell her how you feel about her in the sonnet, it makes it more romantic, and it makes her know you really care about her.

Dedicate it to her, and place it on the top so she knows you thought of her before you wrote it instead of adding at the bottom after the fact.
