loves short and bitter, hence the thorns and the wilting rose. No matter if it's because of lies and indecency, or through death, love doesn't last.

That's why a guy who really loves you will give you a bouquet of roses and tell you that his love will die when the last rose withers to dust. Eventually you'll find out that one of the roses was plastic and won't turn to dust for several thousand more years :)

But seriously, if you really want symbolism in the rose, then it's like this: A red rose is like love because the red color symbolizes the passion, the scent symbolizes the alluring addiction, the thorns symbolize the pain, and the death means that love will die if it does not constantly change and evolve. You cannot love the same thing forever, just as the same rose will not last. You must replace each old and withered rose with a new one that is brighter red, has a stronger scent and sharper thorns.

Cheers.

A rose is so much like love. It can be sexy, beautiful, bring so much joy. But if you are not careful the thorns can cut like a knife. And the rose dies to serve as a reminder that love should NEVER be taken for granted because there is no guarantee that it will always be there. Hope this answers your question.

It means love will die, too. Rose is love, rose dies so love dies.

its like asking why do we love to be hurt? why do we live to die? its just a symbol saying i care for you so much i didnt need to get you anything yet i got you a rose.

i think that the rose may die but the love for you never dies as it becomes a memory that never dies

it means the love will die, as all things eventually do, notice in the marriage vows "till DEATH do us part" all things die, and sooner or later, both lives will end, and the love will be remembered, but it will not be felt
