At what time was the Injil or Gospel lost? Also, the time frame between Jesus to Muhammed was about 600 yrs, why would Allah let the people go about w/o a guide?

Actually, the Injil (Bible) is not fully corrupt. In fact , when Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) announced his prophet-hood to his wife Khadijah(pbuh) she turned to her scholarly cousin Waraqa who confirmed the signs of Muhammad's prophet-hood by referencing the Bible. Therefore, if the Bible did not contain the truth, the confirmation could not have taken place.

So there was guidance in the Bible. Also, there were always people called Haneefs or The Pure Ones/The Guided Ones who were rightly guided in their belief of one God, however they were not leaders or Prophets.

Allah wanted to send the messenger to the most corrupt society ever... when the Arab society peaked at their height of corruption, that is when Allah sent the Holy Messenger.

We don't really know God's timetable, but He does give us signs as to when things will happen. There were signs that the Bible confirmed and there will be signs that the Bible and Qur'an confirm and there will be signs that the Qur'an confirm.

God's way is as they say, mysterious.

I do not know the real answer to this question. I hope someone else does.

The earliest prints of the Gospels were written in Greek, about 300 AD. Jesus spoke Aramaic, not Greek. That means somebody else wrote all this stuff down. . .but Jesus's disciples also spoke Aramaic, with the possible exception of Luke, the physician, who may have also spoken Greek and/or Latin.

So aside from Luke, which is generally not regarded as the earliest Gospel written, they all must have been written some time later, by someone who was not even there. Who wrote the Gospels?

Approximately 500 years passed between the last Old Testament prophets and the birth of Jesus. Not so much difference between 500 and 600.

The people had sufficient guidance between the time of Jesus and the time of Muhammad, they had been corrupting it in the meantime till it had to be purified of its excesses. The Injil is a book which Allah gave Jesus, like to many Prophets, a book of sayings and the like, this is what he spoke to the people, you can see from the gospel that some may remain but a great deal has been altered and some is fabricated

Because the Injil - The Gospel of Jesus (The Good News of Jesus) was revised too many times. Do Christians today read the:
The Gospel of Mark
The Gospel of Matthew
The Gospel of John
The Gospel of Paul
The Book of King James
The Book of Latter Day Saints
Jehova's Book
Old Testament
The Book of Revelations

???? Which one, I know Christians read them as a collective called the New Testament, but Muslims believe that there is only one Gospel and that is the Gospel of Jesus. Islam basically says that time has corrupted the revelations given to the messiah, so another book is due for it and that is the Holy Quran.

not sure about the Injil

but just understand one thing: Jesus IS our prophet sent by Allah
Christianity was the right religion, and still would be if it werent for all of the revisions to the Bible

but Muslims do believe in the Bible, the orginal one that is
we also believe in the Torah
these are all books of God

the reason we do not use them today is because they are no longer God's words , but the words that the people think should be
theyve changed almost everything to fit in w/ their needs

wat kind of a religion is this?
it WaS the right one

but then the Qur'an was revealed to the blessed Prophet Muhammed(SAW)

so when u say left without a guidance, this is untrue

the BIBLE was their guidance,
Christains are people of the book and part o Islam is believing in those books as well as the Torah

btw-- this is all written in the Qur'an

(u should read it some time)

i dunno when that happened..
but Allah did not let the ppl without any guide for the 600 yrs.. God had sent Bible to the ppl... but the popes etc distorted it n intriduced the concept of trinity in it,,, which was not entioned in the Original bible.. ppl have MINDS of their own.... they shud have used them to think that this concept was totally wrong... n thats why ... some of the christians of that time did not believe in the trinity!!!
but God had to send the LAST PROPHET N LAST BOOK so that from now on the truth be known to All n then its upto the ppl themselves to follow the truth or not!!!!
n thats why NOT A WORD of Quran has been changed!!!!!.. so that it remains the way God had sent it..... n there shud not be any new concepts!!!.... n this is the Miracle of Islam.. that Quran is the way it was 1400 yrs ago......

Because their message was meant for only their time and their people. The message has always been the same - "There is only One God"

Islam came to confirm and correct the message of all the earlier Prophet's of God.

Peace

It is true that we are not allowed to consume or trade alcohol, pork, or any enhibryating substance (except medical reason bla bla); but just like Christians or any members of any other religion we do not practice our faith with the same degree of strictness.
Prayer was prescribed on us just like fasting Ramadhan, but not all of us stick to the teachings to the letter, just like not all Christians go to Church on Sundays ...etc. Having said that, the degree of punishment/reward is also proportional to our strictness to the following of the teachings prescribed.
