Stopped at a diner on vacation & was treated to El sleazo at her best. A patron had dropped her fork on the floor & ask the waitress for a clean 1. The waitress took the fork walked around the corner & proceeded to wipe the fork off under her armpit. She brought the same fork back & placed it on the patrons table & walked off. After i told the lady what had just happened, she wasn't the only one to get up & walk out as my wife & I were right behind her.

I had to do none of these things but it was interesting dining nonetheless... We had travelled over to Alexandria in Northern Africa, to inspect the building of a resort a relative was building. As it was not yet finished we couldn't eat there, so decided to go to a local restaraunt for dinner...
I am now a vegetarian but at the time was not and we were served the usual array of dishes which we ate with bread and hands in traditional manner. One of the meats was particularly delicious and I tucked into it with gusto. Afterwards I asked one of the waiters what it was and, much to my shock, it was zebra!!
When I was an omnivore I loved to eat many varied meats. Kangaroo and crocodile were my favourites. However, zebra was definitely the strangest thing I had ever eaten.

I haven't had an experience dining out, but I worked at a place that was pretty gross. I was working as a cook at one cafe and an owner of another asked me if I wanted to work for him because he wanted someone quick on the grill. He offered me a lot more than what I was making, so I went to work for him part time. There was a woman there who wanted to oversee my first night, and when I took my break, she took over. I was watching her cook while I was eating, and saw her drop a burger on the floor. She picked it up and put it on the grill. Needless to say, I didn't work there much longer, and I called the Health Department on the owner.

It didn't happen to me, but I thought this was pretty bad. My friends had been at a concert and were looking pretty goth when these full-on redneck type dudes started harrassing them at a late night diner. It was late and the guys were drunk, so my friends did their best to ignore them. It got out of hand when they began manhandling my one friend so my other friend demanded that management, who hadn't been doing much up to this point, handle the situation. They ended up telling the rednecks to leave which they did but not before dumping a glass filled with soda, syrup and god knows what else all over my friend's head!! ugh. I can't ever drive by this restaurant - a pretty prominent place on Sunset Blvd.- and not think of that story! I've never been there since!

My waitress was also waiting on a table of friends in her section. Our food was always late and we were constantly running out of drinks (which when you have a 3 yr old you just want to eat and leave) because she decided to sit down with her friends at 15 minutes at a time. I mean she just kept sitting at her friend's table 15 minutes at a time. The people in her section (besides us) were starring her down like she had just grown another head. We ( our table and another table) decided to find the manager. She tried to get up so quickly she almost knocked the table over where she was sitting with her friends. When we finally got out check we were charged for 2 drinks that her friends had ordered. So not only was she sitting with her friends instead of doing her job she was giving them free drinks and charging the other tables. We were also there for 3 hours which is the longest that I have ever eaten in a Fridays. My 3 yr old was not happy about that either.
Needless to say she did not get a tip and she was fired. We also got our meal for free and a bunch of points added to our card.

After a evening church service we went out to devour at a set restraunt with distinctive pals from church. My spouse ordered her widespread on the time which develop into rooster strips. The order got here out and each and every thing regarded high quality, so we requested the blessing for the nutrition. when we glance up after the prayer we said a large eco-friendly trojan horse doing a humorous 2 step dance in the course of the sparkling warm rooster strips. We guess the trojan horse got here from the mattress ot lettuce the rooster develop into resting on. They quickley further her yet another order, and they did not cost her for her meal, yet my spouse couldn't get the dancing trojan horse out of her concepts, so she did not devour something more effective than some fries.

Worst: the food took too long to reach hour table, more than an hour, so when my friend and I decided to leave, the manager threatened to call the cops on us - unbelievable!
We did nothing wrong, no theft, no hassle. Wow.
We ended up leaving with our food and paid less for it by mistake, but those sons of b*****s deserved it.
I tell everyone about that place, don't go there.

I worked at a popular chain that served pizza by the slice.
I tried to prevent others from having THEIR worst experience.
One day large roach was crawling up the back side-facing me- of the napkin holder on the counter. I threw it on the ground quickly! Everyone looked at me like I was nuts, and I just said 'sorry, Im having a bad day'....

Doesn't quite fit your requirements, but here's one of my strangest experience. My meal had just been served and I had taken a couple of bites. I was taking another bite and the waiter took my plate away while I had the fork in my mouth.

One time quite a few years back... we were eating at a popular chain diner, and I noticed two tiny roaches on a booth. I told the waitress, and she picked them up with a cup and said in a high pitched 'mommy' kind of voice, 'You're coming with me!' Hahaha... man, I'll always remember that.
