Going through some of the answers most as been said, They are very friendly Ive never met a tight Scot in my life, they like to enjoy life, the glens and the lochs are fantastic its green its fresh and most of all its there. Plus you go to Edinburgh you don't find dog ends all over the place, they take pride in their country. The shame is England don't have the same pride oh yeah they all put on England shirts when football is on, then they have a couple of beers and hey oh watch out there's a lout about, wrong kind of pride. Pride comes from the Heart not the mouth.
Give us a decent government to help put Great back In Britain

When God created Scotland, He looked down on it with great satisfaction. Finally He called the Archangel Gabriel to have a look.
“Just see,” said God. “This is the best yet. Splendid mountains, beautiful scenery, brave men, the very finest of all women, nice cool weather. And I’ve given them beautiful music and a special drink called whisky. Try some.”
Gabriel took an appreciative sip.
“Excellent,” he said. “But haven’t you perhaps been too kind to them? Won’t they be spoiled by all these things? Should there not be some drawback?”
“Just wait till you see the neighbours they’re getting,” said God.

That was the last place I was on vacation. What's NOT to like about Scotland? The people were super nice, the country was gorgeous. Lots of history and clean. It was snowing and really pretty. I'm from the US.

Beautiful countryside with rock formations jutting out of pure green grassy hills with a deep blue sky above and winding rivers below, clean air you can actually breathe (if not in Glasgow) without risk and a chance to see the stars when you look up at the night sky.

If i had the guts i would retire to Scottish highlands from England. Cannot think of anywhere more tranquil , beautiful and affordable.Saddly no bottle and a wife who wont move so it looks like plain England for me.
