Hehehe...It's never wrong to think, man. Thinking is the greatest defence against sense-of-humour failure.

For complicated reasons, been thinking about this quite a bit lately. Of course if any entity exists that is the prime candidate for the name of "God", then it would be the height of folly to suggest it had a particular gender, so sure, why not send a daughter to talk to the world in an age we think is advanced enough to listen to one (as compared to the "last time").

But within the Christian mythology, it seems to me that the "Father God" has always seemed to have a bit of a beef about women, the so-called "vessels of iniquity" as Weemaryanne reminds us.

How about this for an idea. In the beginning there were lovers - Yahweh and Gaia - male and female. Yahweh created a world, and thought it was complete and perfect in all its elements.
"Right, that's me done. How cool is that world of mine?" said Yahweh.
"Hmm...It's OK, but you can't just...keep it...like that, surely?" said Gaia. "Let me give you a hand honey..."
And down she went amidst the primordial earth, and helped a tiny bacterium to change, to evolve, to grow. And so evolution began on Earth. And Gaia, being a female spirit, and therefore in favour of regular change, was well pleased.
And Yahweh looked down upon his creation, that now was growing green and blue and altogether...different, and he grew wroth in his heart. And he slammed the gates of Heaven against his lover, and said unto her:
"You want the earth to evolve? Fine. Stay there then, who needs you?!"
And Gaia did.

Since which time, Yahweh and his supporters have been against all things that dared to speak of female power - from Eve to Mary Magdalene to all the 'vessels of iniquity' who ever dared to raise their voice or have a thought in contradiction of his idea. Meanwhile, Gaia's daughters have always had a connection to the Earth and all its wonders. She might have been written out of the official history, but she's always had followers under different names. Who knows? If "God" sends another son, maybe Gaia will send a daughter to teach him the truth?

What do u mean cheese off? That would have a lot of impacton many religions. Since women are thought to be sacred in some religions. In some other cultures women are seen as servants. That would rock! Yee haw for women!

There will be no next time fool. You have one chance, I can tell you are allready on the wide road. Wake up blind man. Few will enter through the narrow gate, which is Heaven. know why? Because men love the darkness more than the light. You better wake up man. Every knee will bow, every tongue will confess, that Jesus is the Christ, he is God, including you. Give Jesus a chance, he died for you and me.

In very ancient times god was female. Her memory not totally erased. some experts believe that Mary, Christ's mother is based on some of the goddess myth. Interesting to research, eh?

I assume you mean send a woman to be the next messiah?

Personally, if they would be "cheesed off" over something like that, then they deserve whatever spite they feel.

No it's not wrong to think the next messenger will be female, but your reasoning seems rather petty for a superbeing.

On the other hand Dogma was a lot of fun.

A "vessel of iniquity" as the next messiah -- how very appropriate that would be.
