YES! I try to avoid tempting situations when I am being smart. But sometimes I let my guard down and I pay for it.

I don't think anyone can keep their feet firmly on the path all the time, but the more you do it the better.

Problem is some Christians (myself included) take chances on seeing how close we can come to temptation. By then, most realized we crossed the line.
Hard way to learn a lesson.

Sometimes I take chances and then live to regret it. The bible admonishes us to avoid "even the appearance of evil". I have ignored that too often, and seen the consequence of it. I still yield to temptation now and then. It never, never, never, never pays to do what God says NOT to do!

I am still being made into the image of the son of God. I would appreciate prayer for being more obedient, and denying myself.

I apologize for butting in, I'm not Christian, but isnt' putting yourself into temptation intentionally the same as actually committing the sin, according to the Bible? Isn't lust considered the same as fornication and covetousness the same as theft?

I'll admit that there are times when I take chances. It all depends. But if I listen to the Holy Spirit, I realize that I need to avoid certain issues.

ARGGgggg! I try my best. It seems like I will stay on track for a week then mess every thing up again. I have to pray every day for Jesus's help. I've lived in the world so long that I look more like it than Christ. Pray for me. God bless<><

Sometimes a little sin is necessary for homeostasis. And sometimes taking chances is the only way to get where you have to go.
