Jesus was dead for more than 3 days for two thieves who were code-named Jesus for their crucifixion on the Sabbath weref left at Golgothat for the entire period it took for the vultures and rats and other vermin of the city-dump to eat the flesh from off the bones.

Read the Scriptures about the story of Yusuf (Biblical Joseph) and his interpretation of the dream of the birds that ate the meat off the basket on the head of the dreamer.

Read II Samuel 21 and see what was buried of those what were crucified and you should understand where Jesus The Two Crucified Thieves would have been for three days and more and why 100 lbs of aloes and myrrh were used in the tomb of Joseph with two shrouds, one for the head and one for the body.

Jesus could not go further than the cross but Christ was long gone from the scene and was unharmed.

Red lobster, for the buffet! Okay its shellfish, but after what they put Him thru; come on; even the Rabbi's aren't going to say squat!! A nice little nosh, maybe some of those chessy roles; even a boozy drink. Three days of filling the Jesus boots with proper chow; maybe even get to know that hottie watress a bit better; she sort of looks like Mary Magdeline!!

Jesus went to Hell to release the old testament saints that were in Abraham's Bosom. Nobody could enter Heaven, because the lamb's blood was not shed. So any old testament prophets or people that followed and walked with God who died before Jesus came to the Earth, went to Abraham's Bosom. It was a place that was in Hell but was separated by a gulf in Hell. It was protection for the people were followed, loved, and obeyed God. God remembered them. There is a part in the Bible, where it talks about a wealthy man and Lazarus. Well both men died and went to Hell, but were one went to Abraham's Bosom(Lazarus did) and the wealthy man was in torment. That's because Lazarus followed, loved, and obeyed God when the wealthy man didn't. Which the wealthy man called to Lazarus, asking that he be taken from the place of torment which then it talks about the gulf separating the two of them.

People who would be in Abraham's Bosom would be Moses, Abel, Samuel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, etc. when Jesus came to the Earth, took on the sins of the world, and died on the cross. He went to Hell took the keys of death away from Satan and released those prisoners in Abraham's Bosom, which they came back with Jesus in the resurrection, witnessed and appeared to many people on the earth with Jesus for 40 days and ascended with Jesus into Heaven.

recap, Jesus went to Hell, took the keys of death from Satan, released the OT saints in Abraham's Bosom so he can take them to Heaven, proclaimed further judgement to fallen angels who were bound in Hell.

Being God He entered Hell itself, defeated the Devil, took the keys of death and hell from the evil one. And then He rose Triumphant on the third morning.

This is the Pauline revelation. It is revealed in the letters of Paul. It is accepted as a fact by all major christian denominations

He went to Vegas. What happens there, stays there. I could never figure out why he came back to life in 3 days, then he leaves the planet. Now he has been gone for 2006 years. What's up with that?

he went into hell because that is our punishment for sin, separation from God, death. Then he took the keys and came back to tell the disciples that he had conquered the grave and then he ascended to be seated at the right hand of the Father.

He said he had work to do in other lands. The only church I've heard who has an answer for this is the LDS church. They say he was teaching the people in the Americas.
