If it is a credit card, it will remain for 7 years after the first time you became 30 days late and never brought the account current leading to the charge off.

It stays on as long as anyone is interested to a maximum of 10 years.They make their $$$ by selling your personal info. That's a privilege not a right. You can put a lot of pressure to bear if you threaten to revoke the privilege. Also, you can drown then in paperwork by repeatedly denying every negative notation on your report.

After reported. And some creditors can keep on reporting you every so many months just to refresh to time for being on your credit. You need to resolve your problems , not wait for them to go away.

more then likely more then 8 years,I know people who still get calls and mail after almost 10 years,i don't think it ever erased
