With the rise in bedbug and lice infestations, why can't they make a safe way for humans to kill parasites like they do for dogs and cats? I am terrified of getting bedbugs, and lice are the worst. Why can't I rub some gel on my neck and kill off anything that bites me for a month??

Why don't people read the whole question? I do not have bedbugs, I am worried I could get them! I do bathe daily and I got lice from my toddler who got it from preschool! Sheesh, it doesn't mean you are "dirty"....

Just remember this, whatever you put on your skin to kill bugs, can do the same to you. The best bet is to bathe and wash your hair daily and change your bedding every other day and don't invite strangers to sleep in your bed and don't go crawling into a bed that is not your own. Don't use anyones comb or brush and don't try on someones hat or clothes if your worried about lice.

Usually, hotels are the culprits when it comes to bedbugs. They can crawl into your suitcases and that's how you can take them home with you. If you check into a hotel, check the creases and folds of the mattress. If you see tiny black flecks, that's residue left by bedbugs. You may even see one. Also check the back of the headboard for little specks.

Pour some gasoline on your mattress and light it on fire.

That should take care of the problem
