There isn't any clinical evidence that it does anything or that it's even safe, nor do many of the pills sold as containing hoodia actually contain the ingredient that's supposed to work.

Weight loss pills are widely advertised as a quick method to lose weight. These are food supplements and are not regulated by the FDA or any authority. Some weight loss pills may help you lose weight for a short time, but after a month or so, the body becomes immune to them.I found information on weight loss pills and their side effects at http://www.toloseweight.org/weightlosspill.html

it doesnt matter if ANYONE says it works or not. diet pills are EXTREMELY bad for you even the 'natural' ones. the BEST way to ABSOLUTELY lose weight is to watch your fat and sugar intake. counting carbs helps a little but fat and sugar the most. drink mostly water, propell, and if you really need it. LOW FAT WHITE milk. also get PLENTY of exorcise even if that can be hard. start out small maybe walk around your block...then work up enought stamina to where you can RUN around the block. then after a while run around TWO blocks and so on and so forth until you get to where you are running a mile everyday.

No! No, no, no!

Look, it's perfectly simple. If you want to lose weight then you must EAT LESS and EXERCISE MORE. That's the only way to do it. Fancy diets, pills, special shakes, magic chewing gum, steam rooms, machines that vibrate... none of them work. None of them ever will.

Losing weight is slow, difficult, and requires a lot of effort and willpower. It sucks, but it's the truth.
