Please, let me know if it is effective or not and is it really all what they claim it to be. Before some of you start flaming me and getting on my tail about not taking my pup to the vet, let me make this clear.... I am currently living in Nanning, China. There is no 24 hr emergency animal hospital here. There are only 2 vet offices here in this city. I have been to both and they dont seem to know what they are dealing with. My puppy is 3 months old. He is always tired and sleeping alot. Although he is still happily eating and drinking, he sometimes have a little bit of blood on his poop. His poop is still solid but there is a drip or 2 of jelly like substance with blood that drips out after his poop. And Yes, he has a fever. The vet here (both of them) just gave a shot and said bring him back tomorrow if he isnt better. its been 4 days. So i think im going to take this matter into my own hands. Are there any other type of virus, worms ro diease that can cause these symptoms

bloody mucas stuff in your dogs poop is a sign of worms. not parvo. parvoguard is really effective as this is what some vets use and charges you hundreds of dollars for three days. a vet in my town uses this and charges 100 dollars a day for a dog with parvo for a total of three days. this is not parvo. your dog is still eating and drinking and not throwing up. get the dog wormed and it probably will be ok.

If your puppy is still eating and drinking and he isn't constantly vomiting and having diahrea, then it's not parvo.
I just had a parvo puppy survivor (my black lab) and he couldn't eat/drink. He was too sick. It's hard for them to even lift up their heads. My vet didn't recommend Parvoguard either (I seen it on the web as well--i was desperate). My vet put my lab in the hospital for 5 days on iv fluids and antibiotics. He made it. I'm lucky.
It sounds like you have some sort of intestinal worm or something going on. Good luck though. Ask for a fecal exam. What kind of shots are they giving if they don't know what it is?
Good luck.

Have not used parvogaurd of heard of it for that matter but if it claims to be able to prevent parvo or the spread. Jump on it... I've seen what parvo does to animals. It's not pretty and when you have to put a dog down because of it well just be glad that vet clinics exist to do it for you.

I have heard from friends that it works if given in time..
Yes, both cocci (an amoebic colonization, treated with Albon, a suflla drug) and roundworms present with these symptoms.
