It's not as much of a problem up there. Whenever I travel to Northern New York I see dozens of cars with Canadian plates heading North. The Canadians have got it right. Stop by, say hi, spend a few bucks, go home. The Mexicans don't. They sneak in, can't say hi (no speaky), expect a lot of bucks, services, etc., and don't go home. Comprende?

You guys and gals with your stereotyping really should go to the INS site and read up about illegal immigration. While 32% of all illegals are from Mexico and cross the US and Mex border just take a wild guess where the rest of the 68% come from?

It's simply amazing how prejudices show. You could put up a 100ft wall all along our southern border but it would solve nothing. The Filipinos, Chinese, Vietnamese, Euro trash and every other immigrating nationality would still keep coming in via.....check this out....Canadian border that nobody bothers to look at since it's sooo much nicer up there.

Every one of us at one time was an immigrant and again looking at the INS reports many came from europe illegally but none the less became american citizens. It is always THOSE people that are ruining our country and never the lazy *** people on welfare and faking disability that are americans that are draining our social system. It's so much easier to point the finger at someone that you do not know than you neighbor sitting pretty leeching your tax dollars.

Put it up - they come from Canada, too. Where do you think some of the 9/11 hijackers came in from??

Those that just want to keep Mexicans out are bigots - those that want to keep ALL illegal immigrants out are against crime.

It is ILLEGAL to be here in this country without following the protocol - what don't you get?? There is nothing about being Mexican.

Canada needs fences around it to keep out the illegals from all over the world. They come to visit but forget to go home or they are smuggled up from the United States. It will protect us.

volleyballchick, the 9/11 hijackers did NOT come through Canada. Where did you get that crap from? FOX News?

Anyway, I highly doubt a fence is necessary.

We are not getting the droves of illegals coming out of Canada that we are out of Mexico and points further south. And if we happen to get an illegal Canadian we don't have to teach them english.
