So theres this girl that i like that ive never really talked to except for myspace and stuff, and im kind of a shy guy when it comes to girls, i have had a class with her at school for almost half a semester now and have not said anything to her, so i cant just go up and be all like "hey" all of a sudden or that would be awkward, because i havent talked to her all half semester. So i am stuck, i really want to get to know her and stuff but i dont know what i should. PLEASE help

just say hi. you are blowing this all out of proportion in your own mind, it's not that big of a deal to simply say hello and take it from there.

"We have nothing to fear, but fear itself." Looking like an idiot is half the fun. When you fall down, laugh about it. When you get tongue tied, laugh about it. Life isn't as serious as you think it is. It's (from personal experience) not the first date that is the scariest, it's the second. And if you don't want to take her out- don't worry about it! Say something like, "Hey, I feel really dumb for not saying hi to you all semester. Would you like to have lunch together sometime? I'd really like to compare notes!" or if it's not the note-taking kind of class, say something like, "Hey, y'know it took me WEEKS to get through that glacier and you sound even nicer without the echo! Mind having lunch with me?"

You already have a common interest with her--the course. Maybe you can ask her if she wants to meet in the Student Union or the library to work on the homework or discuss the required reading.
