How do you know?

I like a guy and i think he might like me. well we were both seating down in a service meeting and he looked at me every like 2 minutes and kept smiling at me or would just look at me what does that mean I mean we use to date for like a day like 3 months ago then he just drifted away from each other he also told me back then he didnt know what he wanted how would i know if he is ready to be committed now? Or how could i ask him i dont want to sound desprate though cause i am not I just need help on what to do

you dated for a day? maybe he just thinks of you as a friend, but at that age i doubt it haha
