VPI is the BEST. I have it for my bullmastiff and my lab. It covers routine care (as an additional rider) and emergency and illnesses. You can access their site online and get a free quote. They are good about handling claims as well. Within a month your claim is processed.
I highly recommend them. Good luck.

There are all kinds of levels you can get, from accident only for about $6/month to the whole enchilda with the best coverage, routine care and low deductible for around $48/month (I think.)

We pay around $35/month and are very happy with our coverage at Pets Best. We went with them because of their high limits and claims payouts, which are higher (much higher in some cases) than the other companies.

Before you buy, go to complaints.com or type in the word "review" into a search engine with the company's name. Insurance is a sticky industry and there are lots of exclusions -- some companies exclude more than others.

We definitely think pet insurance is worth it, or we wouldn't have it. Good luck! You're wise to consider pet insurance *before* something happens. Too many people wait and then it's too late.
