LEMON JUICE, THEN STAND OUT IN THE SUN.IT WORKS!!TRUST ME!!!

well you didn't specify your hair color, natural hair color, so be careful what you put on your hair. If it has been chemically treated, any product, natural or not, can react with the chemicals previously used. If you are light brown, dark blonde, then yes, lemon juice (real from a lemon not a bottle) has been said to work. Personally, I am a natural blonde and I have never achieved any lightened affects from using lemon juice. I'm sure everyone is different so it may work for someone else. Also, peroxide is a chemical agent, not a "natural" way to lighten hair color (whoever posted the answer suggesting this is mistaken in thinking it's natural). Do some research, and most definitely ask your stylist, although they DO get paid for these services and may not recommend it.

Good luck!!

i wouldnt advise this if you have already had packaged color done to your hair, but if not:
i have used hydrogen peroxide (a bottle costs about $.89) on my hair since i was a teenager. you wet your hair, comb it out, pour out a capfull of H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide), and pour it on a section of your hair, using your fingers to help it run down that section. repeat in sections, always starting at the top of your head on the part, and helping the H2O2 go down to the ends. you skip some sections. then go out in the sunshine to dry. it will be subtle, so people will hardly notice it. then in a week or so, do it again, and in another week if you want it lighter, and so on. i wouldnt do it more that 3 or 4 times, then wait a few months if you want to do it again when the roots start to be noticable.
my daughters do this too, we all have long, healthy, shiny hair with blond highlights. and it's so inexpensive and easy!!
(ps it works better with sunshine, but still works pretty well without it)

Once I added to my regular shampoo chamomile. I boiled it, like tea, and then, put that in the bottle. In a month my hair was like one or two tones lighter. Not much!! My hair is dark brown I think, naturally, or medium brown, something between that. So try it, it won't do anything bad to your hair, and it's gradual, so you can't have accidents. It really lightened my hair, now that I remember!

It depends what your natural hair color is and what the texture is...bleach, poroxide, or lemons usually work....however they don't always work well....be very careful or you'll end up with orange hair

...best of luck.
