The best foods for fighting inflamation and free radical damage at the same time would be fruits containing large amounts of proteolytic enzymes like pineapple, kiwi and papaya. Also the scientific community has shown interest in turmeric and cayenne pepper to fight and control inflamation.
If it's related to a joint injury things like glucosamine sulphate, chondrointin sulphate,MSM and SAME(pronounced sam-ee).I have used all of these foods and supplements and still do with great results. You may also want to look into antioxidants like C,A, and E to combat the free radical damage associated with inflamation.I get all of my supps online from DPSNutrition.net( whom I have no affiliation) and have for ten years.

Walnuts and pumpkin seeds. Blueberries and strawberries. Oily fish, especially salmon. If you can't eat a lot of fish, then get fish oil capsules from your health food store. Use flax seed oil in your salads, but never cook with it as it goes rancid when heated.

If you're not allergic to aspirin, then take half an aspirin every day. Not only will it help the inflammation, it's protective against some cancers too.

A small number of people are sensitive to solanine, which is found in potatoes, tomatoes and eggplant, and find that it makes inflammation worse. However many other people have no problem at all, so don't cut these nutritious foods out of your diet unless you're sure they have an effect on you.

Wobenzym N. It works well for me. The web address is

the product I am recommending to you has an enzyme in it
called bromelain, this is the enzyme you would get from eating
the pineapple recommended in real womans answer. There
are other anti-inflammatory ingredients in it also.

I've heard that pineapple is good but I don't know how much to take or if it's best taken fresh or if you can drink pineapple juice. I'd like to know more myself.
