I hope so, as I've only got one. Actually your body can cope quite happily living with one kidney. I didn't even find out until I was thirty and then it was by complete accident.
And it is surprisingly common. It is estimated that one in 750 people are actually born with one kidney. Most of these people will happily live out their life in blissful ignorance of the fact. Which tells you how well a body can operate on one kidney.

Yes, provided you take care of that kidney, following Doctor's recommendations. They perform dialysis on people with one kidney when necessary as long as that person is in general good health, & meets other medical criteria. As far as how quickly one would die if the remaining kidney failed or became diseased, that would depend on many different things. Talk to a good doctor that specializes in that type of thing.

I believe that you can live well even with one kidney. I have an aunt that is in her 50s that has had one kidney for many years. It mainly depends on what caused the bad kidney its problems. Some diseases can attack kidneys and weaken one or both, some conditions can be limited to one kidney. Much depends on the person, the disease, and their overall health.
