Not cool my friend. If you already made plans with one dude, you can't just drop them, because some better looking guy asked you out.

How would you feel if some guy did the same thing to you? You would be crushed right?

Be the better person and stay with the date you already agreed to go out with. That would be the right thing to do.

That's SO rude on more then one level, you shouldn't of told someone you would go with them and then turn around and do this. That person has probably been telling all his friends and family that he is taking you to homecoming and you just wanna bash his joy in the head with a rock? What a *****!
PS The best way to tell him is something like this,

You: "I'm sorry but I can't go to homecoming with you"
Him:"Why? Whats wrong?"
You:"Someone else asked me so I decided to dump you and go with them instead"
Him:"You biitch!"
You:"I know, see you at homecoming ok? Bye!"

Don't! You agreed to go with him. You didn't say that you would go with him unless a better offer came your way. Besides, suppose you dump him, then he goes and sees you with other guy? Also, how would you feel if someone you really liked asked you to prom or homecoming, then dumped you for "a better offer"?

You don't. I was "dumped by my prom date two weeks before, and it hurt a lot. This is 20 years ago and I'm still not happy! Luckily I found a nicer guy last minute...

Well you already agreed to go with the first guy so I'd stick it out unless you found out there was someone else he'd rather go with. As for the other guy.. well there's always prom.

Nice. You want to wreck someone's life and you talk about nice. If you accepted the first date, you would be a low class heel to cancel for another. Grow up.
