My daughter is 5 and when she gets time out, or nap time, or just has to go to bed, or do something she doesn't want to, she pulls her hair out, and pinches herself, and slaps herself. I ask her why she is doing it, and she says it makes her feel better. What should I do? Why would she do thjis?

Talk to your Dr. It sounds like she is struggling with anxiety or an adjustment disorder. Helping her early on with it will be better for her as she grows and faces more changes.

What do you do when your daughter does this. She is doing it for attention. All children are different and each of them have different ways of showing aggression. Sometimes with children, you can sit down in front of them while they are throwing a fit and read a book to yourself. Look at the pictures in the book talking out loud about the pictures at the same time ignoring the behavior.
