My daughter is doing a sciencefar project on pooring soda,coffe,and tea instead of water

I was under the impression that a mimosa was a drink comprised of champagne and orange juice. I do not think tea would be a good choice to add.

Mimosa pudica or the sensitive plant can surive many extremes of habitat but generally they do best is just slightly alkaline soil...so the liquids you suggest are acidic and the plant may not thrive. They do require lots of sunlight.

Well, if it's a project, don't you need to wait and see? Oh, and be sure you have a control plant watered with actual water so you can see the difference in the plants.
