I completely agree with you in principle. In practice, I think that biased news is being used to build support for bad policies. I think lots of decent moderate Christians are seeing hyped reports of "persecution" against Christians and are being influenced by those reports. I think if there was more converage of the real opnions of moderate and liberal Christians then the effect of the extremists would have been reduced.

Sure. I judge people on a one by one basis. I respond to what I see in yourself. My proof is that one of my greatest friends is a Christian, while I'm an unbeliever. So I think I know the difference between my friend and some fundamentalist guy, don't I?
