Is this DV Lottery run by the government legit, or is it a scam. Does anyone know of someone who actually won a green card through the Government Kentucky Centre?

The state you are in has nothing to do with it, as its federal. However, the earlier you submit upon the start of thecurrent lottery the better your chances. Yes they are legit. By the way, do not pay a lawyer any money for this in particular, they can not help you. Just follow all instructions to the letter. Good luck! : )

Applicant must be a native of one of the countries listed beginning on page 15. See "List Of Countries By Region Whose Natives Qualify."

Native of a country whose natives qualify: In most cases this means the country in which the applicant was born. However, there are two other ways a person may be able to qualify. First, if a person was born in a country whose natives are ineligible but his/her spouse was born in a country whose natives are eligible, such person can claim the spouse\'s country of birth provided both the applicant and spouse are issued visas and enter the U.S. simultaneously. Second, if a person was born in a country whose natives are ineligible, but neither of his/her parents was born there or resided there at the time of his/her birth, such person may claim nativity in one of the parents\' country of birth if it is a country whose natives qualify for the DV-2007 program.

-- Applicant must meet either the education or training requirement of the DV program.

Education or Training: An applicant must have EITHER a high school education or its equivalent, defined as successful completion of a 12-year course of elementary and secondary education; OR two years of work experience within the past five years in an occupation requiring at least two years of training or experience to perform. The U.S. Department of Labor\'s O*Net OnLine database will be used to determine qualifying work experience.

If the applicant cannot meet these requirements, he or she should NOT submit an entry to the DV program.

Also if you have HIV , a criminal record or a drug problem ...just forget it ... cause you won't get (even you won ) the permission to apply for a GC . You have to proofe that with your blood (HIV ) and ur urine (DRUGS ) and an clean letter of conduct

Also they ask that you have some "start" money (i think around 5000 $ for each person )

You dont win a GC you win the right to apply for one

Good thing is , the counselors are always very helpfull and friendly if you don't understand a part of the procedure

here is the link of one of the winners (with the tv show)

I honestly don't know, but i don't think that they should be allowed to "win" one they should all be rounded up and shipped back. And if they want to come to America then they should to it legal. And if they don't like the way there country is ran then they need to speak up and have there own Revolution. Yea I'm Prejudice but i really don't care.

It is absolutely legit. I am a consular officer, and I issue DV immigrant visas every day to winners and their families.

But please don't be taken in by the .org .net or .com web sites that claim to help you win. They don't help; many of them simply take your money and do nothing. Entry through the legitimate .gov site is free.

It is legit but go DIRECTLY to the government web page, there is no reason to pay someone to 'help' you enter.
