I've looked on the net and found a womens group in Wokingham but nothing else. Anyone know of one and are they worth looking in to anyway?

Try local GP's surgeries, the enquiries dept at Royal Berks Hospital or the Mental Health team (contactable through Social Services). If they don't have them themsleves they'll probably be able to give you a contact number in Reading. Are they worth looking in to? Yes, because you're thinking of doing so, therefore are willing to accept any help and advice for depression. Good luck

I would have thought that your GP would have lists of support groups. I actually write all my weird and wonderful thoughts down so at least they are out of my head. Its interesting reading them a while after you have written them........ I think that there should be more support groups with some one like a cpn or doc available - like a walk in clinic type of thing. I tried going to a thing at my local hospital but it was absolutely awful and not for me. It wasn't just for depression it was like an AA/drug type thing too.... useless!! Good luck!

I think the first answer says it all as to why REAL unwellness is not taken seriously - depression is a killer and without wanting to point a finger, you are part of the problem, and not of any help whatsoever and if you believe in karma, you will have a lot to live down for that

Ive been I find they do help but the draw back is if there are too many people you do not get any time to express your feelings which is why we go..........
it is nice to hear there are others that have the same everyday feelings....go through the same things....feel the same way
where most people dont understand

If you're happy and you know it clap your hands, but if you're depressed why would you want to sit around with a lot of other depressed people? find a good therapist and a good b/f or g/f and get on with life.
