do it when you are alone or in a social setting that makes it confortable and if you dont trust him to take it like a man then maybe you should rethink the whole thing of is he right for you

Well first of all.... if you dont ask, how are you going to know what he says. If he makes fun of you to his friends then he isnt too mature is he? If he says no, then you know not to waste your time on him anymore. So.. just ask. Worst thing that could possibly happen is him saying no. If he is shallow enough to make fun of you, then you didnt need him to begin with. Good luck.

Ask him to hang out in a group setting, with few friends so you can get to know him better and build up your confidence.

Do not be afraid of him.You must tell frankly to your guy what you like and what you dislike of him.You must be yourself.If your guy did not obey to what have been told to him,just leave him .Maybe he does not love you so much and he is selfish..There are so many guys in this world,not only him.

i had a guy tell me no to my face in middle school, i just went on like i didn't even ask him in the first place. there are other boys and if he is going to be a jerk you don't need him anyways.
