GNC has a supplement called "Nourishair" that makes the hair grow faster, you can read what's in it by googling it. Be warned these pills are HUGE and you have to take 2 a day.
Also ProCaps labs sells a "hair skin and nails" formula that does the same thing, supports hair growth and health, and is smaller and easier to swallow.
If you take only Biotin alone, make sure you take at least 2.5 milligrams or 2500 micrograms [the same thing] a day because thats' a good amount to take. I use the Nourshair supplement from GNC now and my hair is growing faster than it did, but it took about 6 to 8 weeks of daily use to see results.

You can take MSM. You can buy this at Walmart. It is a lot cheaper than anything else I have seen recommended. I take it myself and it makes my hair grow like crazy. You will find this in the vitamin isle. Your hair and nails are made up of dead cells. MSM is the active ingrediant in most arthritis medications. The MSM forces your body to generate new cells which in turn makes your body produce more dead cells which makes your hair and nails grow. However, the only drawback that I can see is that I have to fill my nails weekly and wax or shave more frequently.

Since hair and nails are basically dead protein, be sure you're getting enough protein in your diet. There are supplements, such as biotin, that help the body process the protein more efficiently. These will help. Patience, however, is still required. There is no magic pill that'll let you have super long hair by Christmas. Sorry. Keep your hair evenly trimmed; neater hair looks longer.

Your hair is made from cuticle like you nails are and the same things that ensure long nails will insure longer hair. Moisture!!! strength. and trim split ends often to lessen knots and prevent breaking.. less hair products like spray and gel. less blow drying and curling and no dying and you'll be the next Chrystal Gail.

are you a sista-girl if so try doo-gro. try it around your neck area first to make sure there are no allergy reactions, you should notice something in a week if you use it every day. don't use it on newly permed hair. read the label. it really works. I wear tiny micro-braids and always loose one here or there and I always use doo gro to gro it back. Let me know the results
good luck
