Have you formed an escape committee? What will you do when you finally get out?

I do right now.....I have a husband who never wants to be intimate with me, enjoys his video games more than spending time with me, five kids who seem very determined to destroy my house and I cannot drive or work due to health issues.....

I wish I had members to form an escape committee! I think the only way out will be when I will need to be committed when I finally go nuts from being treated like crap and taken for granted after all this time....

When and if I ever get out I would want to take my kids somewhere beautiful and have a fresh start.....

I feel like a prisoner in my own home and I am the Mom!!

Work all day and come home to cook, clean up, do laundry, clean, be mouthed off to (occasionally) by a teen-ager who wants everything and wants it now, a control-freak husband, bills to pay, yada, yada, yada.

What keeps me sane is that one week a year I "disappear" on a road trip with a best bud. We keep in contact with the homefront so they know we are O.K. and we decide each morning what direction we are headed. Every year we pick a different state and off we go. That is my escape and I wouldn't give it up for anything.

Yes, I do. We have a nice house ( I did not say home), but I do not bring any of friends or family over because they tell me, that they do not feel comfortable in our house. My wife has a sofa since 1970, and it still looks new from the factory. I bet since 1970 that my kids and I have not sit on that sofa no more than ten times. My son even mentioned to me one day, dad I do not know how you made this for, but he is glad that he no longer lives with us. I cannot wear my shoes in the house, I have to take them off in the garage (No they are not muddy or greasy), and I do not feel comfortable working in my own shed and garage. It is a terrible feeling and I do not know why I am still there myself.

There is no affection between us, and she gets mad because I will not talk politics and we have differences there as well.
As for as S-X goes, there is none for 4+ years

I used to. The chairman of the escape committee was my divorce attorney. I'd really like to go to Disneyland now.

Better make a solid plan because most young people end up back home due to poor financial planning.
If you are married, shacking up and want to escape then do it the gentlemanly way. As to what you will do, that is up to you. Go to a movie maybe?
