yeah yeah yeah.... the AKC does not recognize them as a different breed.

I have just purchased one from a dalmatian breeder (25 yrs breeding), He is the cutest little guy....

Anybody with advice?

try selective breeding.

I know the kind of dog you're talking about. I haven't personally seen one, but good luck with raising him!
I know deafness might be a problem, though your site did say that was "bred" out of this new...type, I suppose, since it's not a recognised breed. Basically, because the general public is usually more or less ignorant of these, I'd really encourage going to the breeder or a vet for advice. Just be careful about taking advice from these forums, make absolutely sure they have the facts to back what the say up, etc.

Miniature Dalmations are not a breed. They are a genetically altered version of a dalmation. People have been downsizing different breeds for years, usually with sad consequences. Dogs are not meant to be downsized. You can(and will ) run into many health problems to the it.
