Ms. Jones sometimes it is hard to make promises and keep them, I think your Uncle will understand, Tell you what you should send him a homemade card and tell him " I wish I was there but my wallet is full of air." That will cheer him up!, Just wish him your wishes for a happy marriage and tell him you wish him the most in his relationship, Don't be hard on yourself, believe me he would be much happier if you send him a card then just beat yourself over the head about it( a figure of speech, don't actually do it) but I know you wouldn't, You have a good day! I think your uncle will understand :) This is far out of your control, and cannot be helped. While your uncle will want you there with your family, I am sure he will not want to inconvenience or set your family back financially to have you at his wedding. Instead, make him a nice creative gift-- maybe a scrapbook of pictures that he can add his new wedding pictures in.

How about sending him a nice card?

If you can't go, then it's okay. Money sometimes is scarce, and he should understand.

Be sure to mention that you tried to attend, but the circumstances were not in your favor. Also include how excited you were to attend, and that you would like to see the newlyweds soon.

This is your uncle so just tell him that you dont have the money to come....he will understand that and if he wants you to be there he will help you find away......Are your parents not going to attend this wedding?

Just call him and tell him ASAP that you cannot attend. Do this quickly before he ends up paying for reception meals he bought that you woun't be there to eat.

Send him a letter of congratulations.

It is not your fault...you cannot drive...you are 12...if he doesn't understand then I do not know what to tell you!

You can't go, you can't go. He should understand you don't have the money. He should have realized that when he asked. Don't sweat it.
