Use Bounce Fabric Softener Sheets...Best thing ever used in
Louisiana...just wipe on & go...Great for Babies
Bob, a fisherman, takes one vitamin B-1 tablet a day
April through October . He said it works. He was right.
Hasn't had a mosquito bite in 33 years. Try it.
Every one he has talked into trying it works on them.
Vitamin B-1( Thiamin Hydrochloride 100 mg.)
If you eat bananas,
the mosquitoes like you, - something about the banana oil
as your body processes it.
Stop eating bananas for the summer and the mosquitoes
will be much less interested.
This is going to floor you, but one of the best
insect repellents someone found (who is in the woods
every day), is Vick's Vaporub.
Plant marigolds around the yard, the flowers give off
a smell that bugs do not like,
so plant some in that garden also to help ward
off bugs without using insecticides.
"Tough guy" Marines who spend a great deal of time
"camping out" say that the very best mosquito
repellant you can use is
Avon Skin-So-Soft bath oil mixed about
half and half with alcohol.
One of the best natural insect repellants that I've discovered
is made from the clear real vanilla. This is the pure Vanilla that is sold in Mexico. It works great for mosquitoes and ticks,
don't know about other insects.
When all else fails--get a frog
Fight West Nile...pass this along to

Try taking Vitamin B. It makes your skin produce an oder that humans can't smell but moquitos hate. Also you can try planting marigolds, mosquitos don't like those either.
Don't eat bananas, mosquitos like those.
As for the bites you all ready have, try icing them. It helps the swelling go down and numbs the itch. If that doesn't work, try something with calamine.

Wash the bites with soap and water, use "afterbite" (you can buy it at a pharmacy). Also, I think vinegar works. I had bites on my feet and I soaked them in hot water with a cup of vinegar in it and it really helped. Alot of people say don't scratch them, but I think some people are more sensitive to the bites than others. I often start scratching in my sleep without even knowing it. Good Luck!

I had to take Benadryl to keep from going crazy. No sprays, no ointments, nothing else helped. Spent a couple of days in a bit of a haze but free of the itch.

Use Benedryl cream. I currently have 2 that are huge! You know what also works...put them under really hot running water...or blow a hair dryer on them. It alleviates the itch for at least 12 hours and feels really good!!

try after bite...it works EXTREMELY well...it may sting at first...but after repeated applications the bite goes away within 2 days and no more itching...after bite is very inexpensive...not more than $5.50 at your local drugstore...good luck!
