Is it ok to eat something small and lite? This is my first day, and to be honest, it tastes awful. But if it is claimed to work, I will try it. But as I said, is it ok to eat something at least once a day if you feel yourself getting headachey?

I did this cleanse last year solely for the detox- not the weight loss. Even though I did it I am not sure I believe you need to be this extreme. You can detox just by eating 'clean'. This means no sugar, no processed foods, nothing 'white'. It would be okay to eat something once a day (or even more) if you choose wisely. Like some plain chicken and brown rice and vegetables or something along those lines.

The headaches could be a symptom of the detox but they could also be a symptom of hunger. I recently did a three week 'detox' that consisted of eliminated everything I just listed above and I experienced more detox symptoms so I feel this was the more beneficial way. It felt healthier to be eating and it still worked. On a side note- I actually lost more weight with the food detox as well and I didn't mess up my metabolism.

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. Lemonade Diet Sample
60 oz spring water per day (spread over 6 10 oz glasses)
12 tablespoons Organic Grade B Maple Syrup (or 2 tbsp. per glass)
12 tablespoons freshly squeezed organic lemon juice (or 2 tbsp. per glass)
a little over half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper (or 1/10 tsp. per glass) or to taste
The only other foods consumed is a laxative tea ("Smooth Move") twice a day, and a saline (sea salt) wash. The laxative may be required due to the lack of fiber in the diet that may lead to constipation.

You are only hurting your health by such a diet plan.
You must eat some solids in order to keep your body working properly. Of course your going to lose weight by not eating food, because your staving your self (to death).
your going to find your self feeling tired, weak and unable to do anything but lie around like a fish out of water. Don't be foolish, eat right and exercise.
