see, my friend wore a shirt that said "Remember Sept. 11" with a pic of the towers (before the bombing) on her back. i used safety pins and stuck an 2 foot x 3 foot american flag to the back of my shirt. we did that for 9/11. now weve both been suspended. so, now that we are no longer allowed to love our country should i paint a hammer and sickle on a white shirt and wear it? might as well, seeing as this nation is becoming communist.

note: a hammer and sickle criss-crossed is the old symbol of the USSR/Soviet Union. Commies dont allow freedom of speech, and from the looks of it neither does our current government.

Why is it I think there must be more to this story than you are telling for you to get suspending. You seem to have a very defiant attitude - could that have played more of a roll than you are letting on?

I guess you're doing this to protest your being suspended for pinning the American flag on your shirt, which may have been a violation of your school's dress code. It might not have been right to suspend you for doing that. 9/11 is a date that should be commemorated for those who lost their lives!

Yeah, you might make a statement by wearing a hammer and sickle. If I saw someone wearing a hammer and sickle, I'd be very offended. My family is Eastern European, and my dad was tortured and starved for 7 years in Communist concentration camp before he escaped to Italy, and finally was able to emigrate from there to the US. He was lucky, I suppose, because so many people were killed in his situation.

So if you want to make a statement, then great--understand that people will be offended, if that's your aim. But this is America, and you can express yourself any way you want, so long as you don't break the law!

Just a thought.....my sixth grade daughter studied the flag and other American symbols this past week in school. When I helped her study the rules for care of the flag, I read that you are not supposed to wear the American flag. It's disrespectful, like letting it touch the ground is.

As far as you and your friend getting suspended -- wow. It seems irrational, but then I don't know any other circumstances....

Suspended from college????? If that grew to become into the reason, i could protest, distinctly your pal for having the two towers on his/her lower back. this is merely incorrect, no yours, i will see happening simply by fact there may well be a rule on your gown code approximately outfits attachments EDIT: i could protest then, this is incorrect

that seems like a cool idea, but you would probably get in trouble for that. its amazing you got in trouble for "wearing" the US flag. thats a bit odd
