Does anyone know how to keep a puppy from biting humans? He bites on my clothes, shoes ankles, calves, anything that comes near his mouth. I have tried leaving the room and ignoring him. I know he is just trying to play but it hurts. I have even tried telling him "no" firmly. Help? He is a boxer puppy.

Flick'em in the nose...or use a newspaper if you prefer and firmly say, "No" in an authoritative tone. I have a boxer and she's pretty well behaved...of course I put the fear of got into her after one or two screw ups.
Mind you, I didn't abuse her, but a few spankings go a long way.

get a water spray bottle, and spray it to your puppy....or newspaper technique..just say NO.. and make a loud noise..my pup starts chewing furnitures legs, shoes..so get a lemon and sprinkle it to the thing he chews.he would not like it..sprinkle lemon on your legs or feet and he would stop it.. he won't even lick it..it is cheap and good smell on the house..and mostly gets him lots of chewing toys for his chewing pleasure!! you don't wanna see a bored puppy...rope toys are their favorites...
he would focus on those.but if you have time to play, let him play with you but not to over excite him because he would start biting again. Leaving him would only make it worse...just stand firm and let him know you are the boss...and say NO when he starts biting...
he would bite because he is teething just like a baby..be patient..might be playing because he thinks you are his mommy after being separated from his mother.

He is playing Play with him but let him know the behavior is in no way acceptable Stop immediately If he does this and leave this may lead to more than inappropriate behavior in the future You must let him know now he thinks you are his pack leader and even in the pack they know this isn't acceptable Stop him now while he's young or else you cant fix this fault in the future You must Teach him properly But the number one rule all trainer make you cant hit him you must let him no its not proper (If you hit him he loses your trust and frightens him he doesn't understand" Praise him for his good behavior and teach him from his faults

get a newspaper and roll it up and hit him wit it im sorry but u have to do it if u dont want to get bitten anymore that puppy has to
learn to behave and control himselfand teach him a trick to stay and if he goes to something to bite it say "(pupp'ys name) Stay!"
or "heal!" and if he stays say "sit" if he dont be patient he will learn sometime

Well he is in his chew anything he can get his mouth on age. I'm serious. So once he gets over it he will stop soon.

when the dog bits push it away or you on flick him
on the nose.my dog dose not like newspaper so every time she bits she hears the sound of paper and she stops.
