Why don't people pick up after their dogs?

I live in an apartment complex. I have a dog and I always pick up her poop. Several people don't pick up after their dogs. This carries disease that can spread to my dog, not to mention it's gross to step on it. Why is it so difficult?

In some places you can be fined for not picking up after your dog, but most owners just leave it because they are too lazy to deal with it and probably feel that if no one saw it, no one will know.

When your dog smells other dogs poop they can get a diease because other dogs might have worms in there poop. I think every dog owner should pick up after there dog.

it is illegal here in California NOT to pick it up. I religiously pick up after dogs, in the dog park I even pick up after dogs that are not even mine!! It really makes me mad though...because people accuse me of not picking up after the dog. I have had people come running out of their house that I just walked by asking me if I let my dog poop on thier lawn! People are really obsessive here, if you don't pick it up, someone is bound to start a fight with you!

You cannot control other people, you can only control the way you react to them. It's just a little dog poop. Watch where you step (good practice ALL the time) and wait till it rains, the poop will be gone. Life is too short to obsess about meaningless crap!

there are various aspects right here. My first Border Collie got here from a rescue that believes the canines alternatives its proprietor. We appeared at quite a few canines earlier we met her, and all of them have been exciting yet no longer what we've been searching for. whilst we met Maizee, she ran to each those with a advantageous wagging tail, licked our faces, and commenced bringing us tennis balls to play with. Did she %. us? style of. the fact of the area is that we had the desirable say, and we desperate that she became the desirable canines for us. despite if it became based on the shown fact that she regarded so prepared to honestly anybody. the particularly some canines we had appeared at have been only 0.5 involved in our presence. have been those canines waiting for a distinctive guy or woman to return alongside? My 2d Border Collie became observed sight-unseen from a shield in Georgia (I stay in Connecticut). A rescue pulled and fostered him for each week, then sent him on transport to my area. he's the desirable canines for me and the desirable canines i've got ever met. Who picked who? i will safely risk-free the 0.33 canines picked my family contributors. i became fostering a Xoloitzcuintli that had lived in a house with a canines savvy woman who reported he wasn't recuperating- unfriendly, very scared, and after quite a few months had no longer come out of his shell. some weeks in my abode, and my family contributors (who had reported "not extra canines!") became obsessed on utilising his loving, outgoing character.

Because they don't want to be inconvenienced. They don't take responsibility of their pet or their actions. It's rude and inconsiderate; yet they don't care.
Keep up the good work on your part. Report the problem to your landlord. The ones that can't clean up after their pets, should have to get rid of them.

Because they are sooooooo lazy. Maybe you should pick it for them and drop it infront of the door with a note........I think you forgot something!

people are lazy and don't care where their dogs go potty. they figure that if they let their dog potty somewhere else and they don't have to clean it, they leave it for some one else to clean up.
