I wish I could respond to people who answer as if they know everything. When someone asks a question why is it that some people have to be rude about their answer. A yes or no is usually great.

I believe we have hundreds or thousands of juvenile deliquent's on Yahoo Q&A. There should be some way it could be controlled, but unfortunately, at the present time, it would take too many monitors. There is absolutely nothing we can do about this situation at the present time. Personally, I spend 2-3 hours a day, reading questions, in hope of helping another person. One of these days, a solution will be found to prevent these problems. Have a good evening.

I just read your first question and I saw NO idiotic comments in the answers.
You were given good sound advice to an idiotic question along with a NO answer.
You should NEVER give ANYTHING to your dog to replace it's meds without vets approval.
You should call your vet rather than ask those who really don't know. And in my experience EVERY vet has an answering machine or service with a message that includes an emergency number to call if the need arises. So there is no excuse for anyone not to call that number and wait for a call back.
Seems to me that you have it in your head to put the dog in further misery by giving it the Nyquil anyway and all you wanted was for one other person to say it was perfectly fine to do so and you're ticked off now cos no one said yes.

Probably more than any other one thing the lack of a FAQ section for people to use causes this. I would imagine 15 people a day ask how to potty train their puppy, 10 will ask if Pitbulls are nice dogs, and 5 will have no idea what they asked.
The number of really knowledgeable people that have come on here and become tired of answering the same question 20 times a day and left because of it is astounding.

That is just the way some people are turned. You can always put Serious Answers Only at the bottom of your question. Sometimes that helps. But there will always be someone....

May I ask why this is posted under dogs??

There are people of all ages and every walk of life on here. I suppose sometimes we just have to put up with some of the bad to get the kindness of the good. You could always add comments to your question as the answers come in... maybe contact them?

Maybe because some people ask silly questions and they feel they have to answer them all the same way. I agree, some people come here for answers, serious answers. I dont know a way to respond, but I would put at the end of the question "serious answers please".

depends on the question that is asked. all people want is the 2 points but if you ask a question that you know will make the readers mad, then you better expect a rude comment or a rude answer.

Very good question! I hear you on that one! I wish there was a way to let those people know about their rudeness.

Sometimes the question is idiotic. Sorry you had to experience this. Not everyone is rude.
