ok back in july i told the guy i like that i like him and he told me that right now we are only friends and he wont date untill he is 16. which i understand because its a religeous thing. and he also said maybe in augest. and doesn't even talk to me any more and he has also gotten a gf. so did i take that in a different way than what he ment?

I don't think that you have taken that in a different way then what he meant, But he might think to much of you as a friend and doesn't want to ruin that with dating and things not working out and losing that friendship that the two of you have. He also might want fate to decide weather the two of you should be together. So just sit back and go for the ride, date someone else. It might make him jealous enough to leave that girl and date you.

He gave you the brush off. Next time, wait until the boy says that he likes you. At that time you can reciprocate or say "let's just be friends."

Yes. He put you off, rather than tell you honestly that he wasn't interested. Probably trying not to hurt your feelings....didn't work.
