Koreans say that if you put a fan in a closed room it will "eat up" the air" or kill you by blowing up your nostrils or killing you by lowering your body temperature past a critical point...
Any DOCTORS out there care to commment on this?

well, i am not a doctor, but i can tell you that unless its bashed up against your head or otherwise used as a weapon, a fan can not kill you. first point....eat up air?? how, where would the fan go with the air?? blowing up your nose?? and what kind of effect will that have on you?? lower your body temp? fans do not change air temp, they just move the air around.

I'm not a doctor but I can tell you a fan will not eat up the air or kill you in any other way unless perhaps you bite into the electrical cord while it's running.

I used a fan in my room the last few nights and I think I'm still alive. If not, I'm wasting a lot of time going to work every day. Can you say "old Korean wive's tale"?

If it is a particularly avid fan and they know you are a big fan of the opposing team, then I suppose it could kill you. However, you should be sure to never let your guard down if you happen to end up in a closed room with such a crazy and wreckless individual.

Well, if you don't stay near it, and if there's a window it seriously won't kill you* but to make you feel better you better don't do it mean it's kinda like a legend. but I did it. It didn't work or happened. I'm no doctor but I say "try to survive with all the things you need so you can see if it's true or not"

Maybe THATS whats wrong with me. I cant sleep unless there is a fan in my room so maybe my problem is that Im really dead and just havent figured it out yet.

That would explain allot.

That makes absolutely no sense.
If that were true, there would be thousands of deaths world wide every year.
There is no scientific basis for that belief. Just a load of hog wash
