Heyyyy....I own pugs! I wouldnt say they are low energy but they generally are not HIGH energy. As pups they can be pretty hyper, however. =) If a person is interested in a pug and wants low energy, I would recommend an older one. I have 2 six year old pugs that are VERY low energy. =) They like a little outdoor time to take care of business, but other than that and feeding time, they pretty much just lay around and sleep.
I've never owned a bulldog so cant speak for them. They generally are VERY expensive, however!
Good luck and Goddess Bless!

the above..fat ones like bulldogs...but that requires more work than high energy dogs....due to the breed and physical condition you would have to exercise the dog more often and such...i would check out a book from the library or look for a breed online and then ask a vet..or simply go to an animal shelter...they may have just what your looking for

One way is to adopt an adult dog from a shelter, who's not big on crazy puppy playtime.
Larger dogs, such as Mastiffs, Great Danes may be a little more low key. Small-Midsized dogs would include Chow-chows, pugs, some hounds...
Avoid "working dogs" like shepherds, retreivers, herding dogs.

the older the dog the lower the energy...sometimes. Also smaller breeds are sometimes more active but they are less likley to kill somthing or someone when they become excitable. You just have to teach the dog to "behave in public"

Greyhounds and Whippets. They are very sleepy dogs as, as racing dogs, they were breed to lie around resting all day, with just a short all out sprint every now and then. They are also very friendly. In a lot of places you can save a retired greyhound.

King Charles Caviler Spaniel. Very calm dogs. They will need to be groomed tho. But they are a very expensive breed. Can run up to 1000 dollars. But one of the sweetest dogs I know.

Surprisingly Greyhounds are fairly low energy. They need a walk of course, but they spend most of their day just curled up in their comfy spot.

shi Tzus are low energy, scotties are too, but only when they are adults. i think all puppies have a high energy. Try not to get a mutt though, they're normally all hyper. Mostly and small dog that isn't a terrior or mutt wont be hyper. i think saint bernardes are kind of lazy but i've never actually had one. dont get any kind of hunting dog-there all hyper examples are bird dogs, labs, pointers....o, dont get an adult dog cause u never know ehat they've been through and it'll be hard to train them to your lifstyle cause they're use to someone else's.
