Never medicate a dog without consulting a vet. Human and animal medicine are the same, just different doses....but don't give anything to the dog with checking with a vet, it might turn out really, really, really bad.

NO, no, no!! Never any OTC w/o the vets approval. There is nothing in vicks dayquil that is safe for her. If anything, call your vet and ask for a dose of benadryl (diphenhydramine) to help her sleep tonight.

NOT an apropos Q for this list!!

even if another person has given a med to an animal, a person, whatever, that does not mean >this< other individual can safely use it.

go to the vet's, or plug in an atomizer, or use a humidifier, or whatever; NO over the counter human-meds for an animal, especially when they are having trouble BREATHING -

sheesh! if she's already in respiratory distress, this is no time to be playing Dr.!

dogs aren't humans; we can take stuff they can't, they can take stuff we can't.
head for the E-vet, if U have to...

NEVER give a dog human medicine.

Go to the vet, call the vet, anything. Do NOT give her dayquil though.

I live near Philadelphia (out in the suburbs). I still hate the Eagles for signing him. If I had a pit bull, I'd be all over having anti-vic/anti eagles shirts. Also: for the people who dislike the term "pibble", get over yourselves. We can call the dogs cute names if we want to.

NO! unless your vet says so...generally something like that might kill her..call the vet hospital explain the situation and see if they can offer any suggestions to at least get her thru the night if you can't bring her to the animal hospital.

Not sure about Vick's.

I gave my dog Triamenic it works great. And it is cheaper than Vick's.

No!!! you need to get her scripts re-filled.. However, Benadryl may help, but call your local animal emergancy clinic for proper dosing.

Not unless a vet says it's OK.

Poor baby.
