He already has been ruthless and killed his own children in the past for eating some freakin fruit. Do you think if he can and has free will, won't decide to destroy us all or torment us for all eternity? How do you know? You can't know the mind of God can you?

Some of you always say, he does but he just won't be evil. Like I said, he has already allowed for a Hell to exist, and no matter how kind or compassionate of a person I am I will burn in it because I don't believe in it or Jesus. So I deserve to have this happen to me? What about all the innocent children and people he killed just to make a point? Rape, torment, murder, how far can an all-powerful God go?

So far I'm getting responses only from Atheist, I wonder why? Because Christians can come up with a good defense? I took away the free will defense.

Free will is an illusion.

God is not an energy form.

Creation comes from two sources.
Energy, and forces we call laws of
physics.

The energy is not the forces.
The force is not the energy

However, when these two mix,
creation shows up.

God is the gift of life. He writes the
genetic code up to the point of
water.

After that, we are on our own.
The impressions we put on
quarks (energy bits) today,
shape our tomorrow.

Bear in mind, we are a constant.
It's the time and space that comes
and goes.

If you are not a Christian, why do you care? If you don't believe in God why do you care? If you think God is a joke or some vague concept to be despised by someone as "intelligent" as yourself, then why do you care?

BTW, I hope you find that inner peace in your life...It might take months, years,or decades. But I really hope you find it.

You just sound like you searching and struggling within your self. All the best.

Romans 9:21, "Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?" God is sovereign, he does what he wants.

Don't ask questions to which you already know the answers. You seem to have already figured out that theists are screwy. Why ask the unreasonable to use reason? It is a waste of time.

If not, who pre-determines God's actions? Does God have a higher power of His own?

A more important question would be to ask "Why does he elect to save any of us at all?" After all we are one stiff necked and disobediant lot from first to last. That is the question i would like answered.

I dont believe in God persay. But I do believe that Christians feel he has only done what he must for the greater good. I dont feel that way. - But until we can supposedly "ask him ourselves" who knows?
